Wong Tack out as DAP names Young Syefura for Bentong seat

KUALA LUMPUR: DAP has named former Ketari assemblyman Young Syefura Othman as its candidate for the Bentong parliamentary seat in the 15th general election (GE15).

This means that former Bentong MP Wong Tack will not get to defend his seat, after beating former MCA president Liow Tiong Lai for the seat in 2018.

DAP secretary-general Loke Siew Fook also announced three other candidates for the Lipis, Cameron Highlands and Raub seats, namely former Raub MP Tengku Zulpuri Shah Raja Puji, former Tanah Rata assemblyman Chiong Yoke Kong and former Tras assemblyman Chow Yu Hui, respectively. — Free Malaysia Today
