Umno proposes Ismail as its PM candidate for GE15

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno has proposed vice-president Ismail Sabri Yaakob as candidate for prime minister ahead of the 15th general election (GE15).

Umno secretary-general Ahmad Maslan said this was decided at the party’s Supreme Council meeting today.

“The Umno Supreme Council unanimously agreed to propose Ismail to be the prime ministerial candidate ahead of GE15,” said Ahmad.

Ismail is one of Umno’s three vice-presidents. — Free Malaysia Today
