PPBM commits to strengthening ties with allies

PETALING JAYA: PPBM will now focus on strengthening ties with its partners in the Perikatan Nasional coalition and its ally, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).

In a statement, PPBM’s secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin said his party’s supreme council, had in a meeting chaired by party president Muhyiddin Yassin yesterday, committed to working more closely with PAS, Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku Rakyat Sabah (STAR), Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) and Gerakan.

“PPBM is also ready to help its political ally Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), who supports Muhyiddin’s leadership, in facing the coming state elections,” he said.

The home minister added that 12 PPBM representatives have been appointed to formulate strategies at the federal level for PPBM and PAS in preparation for the next general election (GE15).

According to Hamzah, the council also decided to speed up the appointment of PPBM division level heads to empower and further increase the involvement of members with its allies.

Hamzah, who is Larut MP, said PPBM is committed to stay focused and improve the party’s work at every level in an effort to help Malaysians still affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. — Free Malaysia Today
