PH names lawyer Sofee Razak for Padang Serai polls

KULIM: Pakatan Harapan is fielding lawyer Sofee Razak as its candidate for the Padang Serai seat which had to be postponed after the coalition’s candidate, M Karupaiya died on Nov 16.

Sofee’s candidacy was announced here by Amanah deputy president Salahuddin Ayub.

The Kedah PKR secretary previously contested in the Kuala Ketil state seat in the 14th general election (GE14) but lost to Mansor Zakaria from PAS.

The nomination process will take place tomorrow at the Kulim Hi-Tech Sports Complex at 9am. — Free Malaysia Today
