KUALA LUMPUR – Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has been transferred to Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital (CRH) for further treatment and observation, according to the Prison Department.
In a statement today, it said that the Pekan MP was referred to CRH on September 19, following the advice of Kuala Lumpur Hospital, and that he would only return to Kajang Prison to continue serving his 12-year sentence once he gets medical clearance from specialists.
The department added that it is its duty to ensure the well-being of inmates is constantly monitored and taken care of, including by granting the necessary treatment. — The Vibes
