More vaccines, PPVs in Selangor, says KJ after Sultan’s rebuke

PETALING JAYA: More Covid-19 vaccines will be delivered to Selangor soon, together with the setting up of more mega vaccination centres (PPVs), vaccine minister Khairy Jamaluddin said today.

In a press conference, he said this had already been discussed by the Covid-19 immunisation task force (CITF) several weeks ago, acknowledging the higher population of adults in Selangor compared with other states.

He added that when more PPVs are set up, about 25% of available vaccines will be sent to Selangor.

This comes a day after the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, said the vaccine allocation for Selangor was disproportionate and unfair. — Free Malaysia Today
