IPOH: Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador warned that stern action would be taken against those who planned to take to the streets to protest against the High Court’s decision over the “Allah” issue.

Hamid said this included using the Sedition Act.

“If we do not respect the court’s decision, our country will be destroyed. We must remember that the court is free to come to a decision in line with the constitution.

“We cannot expect the court to rule according to our whims and fancies as it would be unfair. If you are not satisfied with the decision, file an appeal or raise the matter in Parliament.

“Don’t take to the streets,” he told reporters here today. — Free Malaysia Today
