Govt reduces quarantine period for entry into Malaysia

PETALING JAYA: The government is reducing the quarantine period for Malaysians and foreign long-term pass holders entering the country to between five to 10 days depending on their vaccination status.

At a press conference today, health minister Khairy Jamaluddin said those who have received their booster dose will only need to be quarantined for five days.

Travellers who have been fully vaccinated but have yet to receive their booster dose will be quarantined for seven days.

Those who have not been fully vaccinated will be quarantined for 10 days.

The release of a traveller from quarantine will depend on their Covid-19 test before the end of the quarantine period. — Free Malaysia Today
