PETALING JAYA: Police have contacted PKR’s Fahmi Fadzil to have his statement taken, believed to be over his presence at the Dang Wangi police station the day an activist was released.

The Lembah Pantai MP said police had contacted his office “but didn’t give much details”.

“Just that it has something to do with me being outside the Dang Wangi police station the day Fahmi Reza was released from remand,” he told FMT.

The activist and graphic designer is being probed for sedition for allegedly mocking the Raja Permaisuri Agong over a comment she made on her Instagram account.

Fahmi Reza curated numerous playlists on Spotify with the title “This is dengki ke?” which featured a picture of the Queen.

He was arrested last Friday and was released the next day as the police were unable to get a four-day remand.

It was reported that several people gathered outside the Dang Wangi police station on Saturday evening in a show of solidarity. — Free Malaysia Today
