PETALING JAYA: The health ministry reported 64 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, according to its GitHub database.
Of the total, 16 were classified as brought-in-dead (BID). The death toll now stands at 29,155.
Most of the deaths were recorded in Sarawak with 19, followed by Johor (8), Kelantan (7), Perak (6), Selangor (6), Pahang (4), Terengganu (3), Kedah (3), Sabah (3), Penang (2), Kuala Lumpur (2) and Negeri Sembilan (1).
There were no deaths in Melaka, Perlis, Labuan and Putrajaya.
As of midnight last night, there were 66,944 active cases, including 555 in intensive care units (ICU), 280 of whom require respiratory assistance.
There were also 5,865 recoveries reported, bringing the total number of those discharged to 2,396,244.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia now stands at 2,492,343. — Free Malaysia Today
