KOTA KINABALU: Two children died after being buried in a landslide at Jalan Bukit Nenas here last night.
Two-year-old Isa Sabri and Norain Jaziz, 11, were confirmed dead at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Siti Nur, 28, suffered a broken arm and her husband, Sabri Botong, 28, sustained light injuries to his leg. They were both treated at the same hospital.
A spokesman for the Sabah fire and rescue department said they received an emergency call at about 8.30pm after the landslide crushed one house belonging to a family of nine.
“One victim suffered leg injuries while three others were buried under soil and debris,” he said.
It was not known immediately if the victims were family members. — Free Malaysia Today
