PETALING JAYA: Over nine million Covid-19 vaccine doses, comprising first and second shots, have been administered as of yesterday.
According to health minister Dr Adham Baba, a total of 6,388,399 individuals have received their first dose, and 2,618,316 their second dose.
This brings the overall number of vaccine doses administered to date to 9,006,715.
Adham noted that the five states that had recorded the highest rate of vaccination, after completing both doses, were Putrajaya (49.9%), Labuan (25%), Perlis (23.5%), Kuala Lumpur (18.1%), and Sarawak (14.7%).
On the progress of daily vaccinations under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, he said a total of 206,015 doses had been administered yesterday, involving 127,385 first dose recipients and 78,630 involving the second dose. — Free Malaysia Today
